One of the
advantages of Pilates is that the movements can
be gentle on the body.
The technique
is a way of changing people. A hunched posture
is not part of growing old, this is not the
case. If we just spend regular time and teach
you stretching and exercises that challenge you
then each of you will reap the benefits of
feeling fitter and more attractive.
But remember
we must all start at the beginning with each of
the moves, many of which can be then advanced or
modified as you progress in your class.
If you listen
to your body and challenge yourself gradually
you will move towards goals at a safe and
effective pace.
Pilates is a
form of exercise that when practiced regularly
will improve your flexibility and strength.
All the moves
will assist in releasing tension, and will help
your body to feel more poised, less stressed and
hopefully improve your feel good factor.
Challenge
yourself, but always listen to your body.
